When I try to enter the union room in my black, the game saves as usual. But after that, the screen just turns black?

It may be a bug... But if it says error, then try to trouble shoot it. That is all I can think of.

I would say its a glitch or your copy is damaged somewhere.
If you used cheats such as an action replay, then a code on it could have damaged your game.
If not, then it could be a non legitimate copy.

That is really all I could think of, things like these are hard to pinpoint the exact problem
