Is Pachirisu worth using?

I was looking at the Pokemon gym leaders the secod time round in heartgold kanto and I realised that Lt. surge had a Pachirisu and I was just wondering whether he was really good for something or whatever. Just curious??

As much as I like cute squirrels - no, Pachirisu should not be used (not competitively outside of NU anyway).

Additionally, Gen IV saw Pachirisu have 2 useless abilities in Pick Up and Run Away. At least Gen V gave it Volt Absorb.

Conclusion: Pachirisu has a shallow movepool, mediocre stats and bland typing. Not worth using.

In game - Pachirisu can prove itself useful with Pick Up, but not so much in battle.

As for Pachirisu being good in worlds, that only works because VGC is a Doubles Format where the support movepool is a lot better than the singles movepool which consist 99% of the battles in the Gen 4 game of HeartGold. The question asks for Pachirisu in an ingame format where it is objectively terrible
