Why do Sneasel' hold grip claws?

Since it evolves by a Razor Claw ,why is it that they hold grip claws?

Maybe it's because their arm's look like they have claws on them (IDK what else it could be) so maybe the type of claw it has is a grip claw.

That is the pokedex description in gold. They definately have claws, and if they were holding razor claws, they would already be weaviles, wouldn't they?

Wouldnt the item disapear as well when it evolves? If yes then they wouldnt be able to hold the item
