Haxorus @ Life Orb / Choice Band
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 140 HP / 208 Atk / 160 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Superpower
- Poison Jab
- Facade / Protect

Unnerve? On a Haxorus? Yes, it's Unnerve on a Haxorus. Before your eyes bleed, your veins bulge, and your head inevitably explodes, realize this set is not the end of the world. With that out of the way, it must be said: This set is for use purely as a counter to common Gluttony Snorlax, which is running rampant in VGC. Unnerve to stop Snorlax from consuming his berry after a Belly Drum. Life Orb to pack a punch while remaining flexible or Choice Band to smash opposing snorlax into oblivion. EVs add much needed bulk for a VGC doubles format. Moves are self explanatory, no?

The Ev's spread are bad for the situation proposed. But the rest of the setup is good.
What EVs do you suggest instead?

Haxorus @ Salac Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly / Hasty / Naive Nature
- Dragon Claw / Outrage
- Earthquake
- Reversal
- Endure

Dragon Claw/Outrage is for STAB. Earthquake is coverage. Reversal has 200 bp at 1 HP and by then he will have the Salac Berry boost and pwn all. This is a strategy no-one uses because everyone thinks Haxorus is running D-dance or Choice Scarf. This is a strong and fun Strategy.

Necrogon X (Haxorus) @ Wide Lens (for Dual Chop: new accuracy: 99%)
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dual Chop
- Brick Break
- Shadow Claw
- Dtagon Dance

Dual Chop: STAB, Breaks Subs takes care of Focus Sash and Sturdy monsters.
Brick Break: Ice, Steel, Dark and Rock Coverage.(But mostly Ice XD) Wall Breaker
Shadow Claw: Type Coverage, High Critical-hit Ratio
Dragon Dance: This is OBVIOUS!! +1 Attack & +1 Speed

Some might say replace Dual Chop with Dragon Claw.
- Both hits from Dual Chop can be critical hits.
- Breaks subs, Sturdy, and Focus Sash.

So, no Dragon Claw.

This is a great idea with Dual Chop, even though outrage is there it cant help kill sub users.
even if dual chop gets two crits it gets 160 power same as one crit with dragon claw which is also more likely and more accurate
So no Earthquake...... What kind of trainer are you? WHEN A PHYSICAL SWEEPER CAN LEARN EARTHQUAKE, YOU TEACH IT EARTHQUAKE!!!!!!!!!!!
nice move but what can it do against fairy type ??

VGC - Thundurus/Tornadus Counter?

The Boys(Haxorus) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Rivalry
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Atk / 128 Spe
- Rock Slide
- Dragon Claw
- Iron Head
- Protect
Since these guys are becoming more prevalent, its time to humble these mfs. Tera Electric to stop Thundrr Wave, Rock Slide can easily Ohko them depending on investment. Iron Head and Dragon Claw for Stab+Coverage. You should be scared of Enamorous tho.

Haxorus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Dual Chop
- Rock Slide

Earthquake and Rock Slide get good coverage together. Dual Chop is there instead of Dragon Claw for Substitute. Dragon Dance increases Speed and Attack.

dual chop can be a pain because of its 90 accuracy when you want dual chop to hit it misses :(

Haxorus (M) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Endure
- Reversal
- Outrage
- Earthquake

Haxorus has an incredible 147 base attack meaning he has the 3rd highest non-legendary attack stat after Rampardos and Slaking.

Endure lets him activate his Salac Berry, meaning that Reversal has huge BP.
Reversal for Endure + Salac Berry.
Outrage for incredible 180 Base Power. Also with 147 Base Attack Maxed Out, its pretty darn powerful.
Earthquake for Mold Breaker + Coverage. And its Earthquake.

I really like Iris in game moveset, on the rematch on challenge mode. Haxorus survives with a focus sash, uses D-Dance, and then sweeps. Unfortunately Iris doesnt realise that and uses a full restore leaving Haxorus to be killed. Focus Sash doesnt work as well in competitive, because Haxorus can probably survive an attack unless its a pretty powerful move, where he just has endure instead.

Haxorus @ Life Orb

• Scale Shot: Raises speed and does decent STAB damage
• Outrage: Strong STAB
• Close Combat: Strong attack, covers ice weakness

Dragon Claw ~ STAB

Very dumb gimmick I came up with when I was bored.

Haxorus @ Blunder Policy
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Guillotine
- Dual Chop / Outrage
- Crunch / Poison Jab / Close Combat / Earthquake
- Crunch / Poison Jab / Close Combat / Earthquake

So just start off with Guillotine, if it misses, damn, at least you get +2 speed. If it doesn't, yay you killed one of your opponent's 'Mons. Crunch is there for Ghosties. Outrage gives power but Dual Chop can work as a back up move to potentially activate Blunder Policy and break subs. The rest is coverage. Stomping Tantrum might be useful after you miss Guillotine.

Haxorus @ Focus Sash
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Ability: Mold Breaker
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Outrage / Dual Chop
- Earthquake
- Reversal
- Dragon Dance

When Haxorus sets up a Dragon Dance and is knocked down to its Focus Sash, Reversal deals massive damage (a whopping 200!). Outrage deals even more massive damage. Or you could use Dual Chop for breaking the foe's Focus Sash or Substitute. I prefer Outrage for the damage and accuracy. The drawbacks of course is confusion and the opponent could switch in to something that resists. Earthquake is for hitting levitating foes such as Rotom and good coverage. Adamant or Jolly is up to you. I prefer Adamant because Haxorus is fast enough after one speed boost.

You should use 0 IVs in HP, Defense, and Special Defense so Haxorus goes down to its Sash more often.

Haxorus @ Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker
Adamant Nature
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Iron Tail
- Earthquake / Close Combat / Superpower

Outrage is a good STAB, Iron Tail to cover both fairy and ice type, Earthquake (for me that is the best choice) to fight against steel type which resist both of the other attack.
Dragon Dance to boost speed and attack(the other 3 moves are strong enough so I don't think we need sword dance)

Physical Sweeper
image
Haxorus @ Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
• Outrage
• Close Combat
• Earthquake
• Dragon Dance

Outrage, Close Combat, Earthquake are the top 3 strongest moves that can learn a physical sweeper Haxorus. Outrage power with stab will 180 and this the best move for a sweeper. Close Combat with 120 power will help in sweeping ice types (major weakness of Haxorus) and if it dynamaxed Max Knuckle will be a great help in sweeping and raising Attack stat. Earthquake with 100 power will give Haxorus great coverage and this move has no secondary side effect and if it is dynamaxed Max Quake will raise special defence. Dragon Dance will raise attack and speed. Raised Attack through Dragon Dance with Life orb make Haxorus a very very powerful attacker. After raising speed through dragon dance it can beat down almost all Pokemon's speed. So these moves and Life orb will make Haxorus a powerful physical sweeper.

Gen 8 OU

Haxorus @ Choice Band / Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Outrage
- Poison Jab
- Close Combat / First Impression

I think Haxorus is quite an underrated Pokemon in OU, given how defensively inclined the tier is, which gives it lots of opportunities to come in and punch holes in the enemy's team. With its massive Attack stat, it can brute force its way through defensive teams. Dragon Claw is sufficiently strong Dragon STAB and your most reliable move, while Outrage destroys defensive teams which don't have anything to revengekill Haxorus after it is locked in. Poison Jab is the best coverage for Fairies because it hits Clefable and Tapu Fini super effectively, which Iron Head doesn't do. Close Combat is honestly not too important, it's just sort of overkill format Steel types which get worn down by Dragon moves very quickly. Close Combat is used for Ferrothorn, Heatran and Corviknight. First Impression is strong priority. Choice Band is for breaking power, but Choice Scarf can surprise faster mons like Weavile, Dtagapult, and Zeraora. Haxorus definitely is not an easy Pokemon to use, but you can do serious damage if you use him well. On the topic of using him to his fullest potential:

Here are the best teammates for Haxorus

Choice Band Haxorus appreciates having a safety net against Pokemon such as Dragapult and Weavile who can be brought in after Haxorus gets a kill. Thus, defensive switchins like Tyranitar and Blissey (for Pult) and Tapu Fini and Toxapex (for Weavile) are good for a defensive backbone.

Stealth Rock support is massively useful in helping Haxorus KO bulky Pokemon. Landorus-T, for this reason and for others, is one of Haxorus's best teammates.

Choice Band Haxorus also appreciates having strong, fast Pokemon like Dragapult and Weavile, or priority users like Rillaboom, Urshifu-R, and the rare Extreme Speed Dragonite to revenge kill the walls it has beat down with its powerful attacks.

Pivots with U-turn, Volt Switch, or Teleport such as Landorus-T, the Slow twins, Tornadus-T and Chansey / Blissey are great teammates for their ability to get Haxorus on the field safely and for providing additional defensive support.

Heatran and Melmetal are great partners as they can check Fairy types which will switch into Dragon Claw.

National Dex RU Swords Dance + Scale Shot

Haxorus @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Scale Shot
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab

A Swords Dance + Scale Shot set that is to be used in National Dex RU. Please note that this is used in a National Dex format. Swords Dance is used to boost Haxorus' already good attack to greater levels in order to boost its cleaning potential. Even though Haxorus used Swords Dance with Scale Shot as the Dragon STAB in Gen 8 OU and UU, Scale Shot was rather inconsistent. However, with Haxorus' held item, the Loaded Dice, Scale Shot will become a 100 BP or 125 BP every time, making it a useful Dragon STAB since it also raises Haxorus' speed stat. Earthquake allows Haxorus to deal super effective damage to Steel-types such as Cobalion, Magnezone, and Mega Aggron. Earthquake also provides a nice neutral coverage move. Poison Jab is used for the move that deals with Fairy-types since it can OHKO defesive Tapu Bulu without a Swords Dance boost. Mold Breaker is used for the Ability since it allows Haxorus to break past Unaware Quagsire. Adamant Nature gives Haxorus as much firepower as possible. This set doesn't have a Tera Type because Tera was recently banned from National Dex RU since NatDex UU banned it, so Tera can't be used in NatDex RU.

Haxorus @ Expert Belt
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Brick Break
- Dual Chop
- Earthquake

Dragon Dance: to add to his already good attack and speed
Brick Break: wide coverage gets rid of Ice weakness
Dual Chop: STAB move and gets rid of Focus Sash and Sturdy
Earthquake: to utilize ability and wide coverage

Along with the Expert Belt, Brick Break and Earthquake can give you some great results due to these two moves having a wide coverage. And if you use Dragon Dance first, the results will be devastating to your opponent.

Haxorus @ Choice Band / Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Swords Dance
- Substitute / Earthquake
- Superpower

  • Outrage (STAB)
  • Swords Dance (Buff)
  • Substitute / Earthquake (Set-up / Coverage)
  • Superpower (coverage)

I know, Superpower seems a bad move given the Attack loss. However, I feel it's needed for Steel types that don't fear Earthquake (Skarmory, Forretress, Ferrothorn). Which Choice item depends on whether you think he'll need more speed or not. Substitute can allow Haxorus a turn or two of set up and let's face it a +2 or +4 Outrage or Superpower from this beast will OHKO or 2HKO pretty much anything in the game.

How do you expect to use your Sub/Swords Dance boost if you're locked into it?
0 votes

With a bit of setting up you to could be wrecking teams with Haxorus

Hacksaurus (Haxorus) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 151 HP / 106 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Protect
- Toxic
- Outrage / Dragon Claw

You'll need some Baton passed stats to help this set work, preferably +2 Def and +1 Atk or more. Haxorus has a decent base Defense stat of 90, so with a couple of boosts and a good move set to boot, your opponent will not be your friend. The Baton passed stats are to improve Haxorus's defense to add some extra bulk. The Lum Berry is there to help if you've accidentally Baton passed a Poison/Burn etc. or your opponent is trying to confuse you or whatever. Earthquake is Earthquake and there ain't no Levitatin' business with his ability. Protect is for scouting out Toxic stallers and a couple of other things like helping you Toxic stall with Toxic! Outrage and Dragon Claw are just for if you get Taunted or the like.

Haxorus is one of the Pokemon that has highest Attack stat in its normal form. He also has a really good defense. Here is mine:

Haxorus @ Life Orb
Ability: Rivalry
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

In my opinion, Rivalry is the best ability for this guy to easily kill those of the same gender. Even with a different gender, his high attack stat and Dragon Dance can handle it.

Haxorus @ Focus Sash
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Poison Jab
- Earthquake

Dragon Dance - Great move, 1 Dragon Dance and sweep with 1 HP.
Dragon Claw - Stab basically.
Poison Jab - It just works.
Earthquake - Mold Breaker makes this insane.
