Where do the gym leaders get the money to make there gyms?

Question

I mean some of the gyms are massive and have loads of equipment but I don't see any means that the city gets the money for them.

For example Volkner has giant gears and rotating platforms, but there isn't any sorces of funding for something that big. But in Orebrugh City, Roark has a tiny gym but actually could get some money to make it bigger from the mining business.

Ok so ♠Cmndr. Gresh♠ brought up some good points but I know the answer being that Gamefreak don't care how they make money. Why go into little details 1/100 people may want to know but is not even worth knowing? That said I can only assume it is funded by either the Pokemon league or the community.

Yas Gym

So if we go by this source gyms make money by being official if you get what I mean. Not from outside sources like a mine or Elctricity plant. I can assume they are funded by the Pokemon League.

This is probably the most accurate answer you could get, that said it still is a bit of speculation though the source does back me up.

For Volkner, I think he runs an electricity company that runs the city's power. Sunyshore City looks like it uses a lot of power.

I have no source, but this is my best guess as to how he got money to do this. I mean, you're supposed to guess on this right?
