Confuse computer Pokemon doesent as always hit it self?

i was wondering why always when your Pokemon get confused or paralysed your Pokemon are always afected when the computer Pokemon (trainer Pokemon) have like a chance of 1 in 1000000% chances of being affected when you get 99 in 100

I guess the computer gets lucky. It's a 1/2 chance for Confusion, and a 1/4 chance of getting Paralyzed.
