Focus Punch animation glitch (Pokemon Black)?

So while I am doing my extensive levelinh up and EV training in Pokemon Black I turn off the battle scene to speed stuff up. And last night I was training and I was versing a Pokemon with Focus Punch. And funny thing, the animation for Focus Punch was shown!
Is this a glitch or just a fair warning?

This will be to notify the opponent (even if it is the computer) that you Pokemon is tightening it's focus. Otherwise it would be a bit unfair if the user couldn't see what move you are using.

EDIT: This is definetly not a glitch I just tried it with my Golurk and I witnessed the same results.
