Why doesn't Motor Drive work with Fusion Bolt?

When a Pokémon with Motor Drive is hit by an Electric-type move, its Speed is increased by one stage, and the move will have no effect, along with not activating a Cell Battery.

Fusion Bolt inflicts damage. The base power of Fusion Bolt will double if another Pokémon uses Fusion Flare immediately before the Pokémon using Fusion Bolt, but only during that use. Likewise, it will double the power of Fusion Flare if Fusion Bolt is used immediately before the Pokémon using Fusion Flare, during that use. When Fusion Flare is used before this move is used, this move's animation changes.

Also, I'm talking about Pokemon Showdown, so I don't know if it's just a glitch with the website, because I've never pitted something with Motor Drive against Fusion Bolt otherwise. If anyone knows about Fusion Bolt's effect against Lightning Rod & Volt Absorb, or Fusion Flare against Flash Fire, I'd be interested in that too.

K, so I don't think it's a glitch. So I guess it's Kyurem-B or Zekrom that used it on you? Well, they both have the Ability Teravolt, which is exactly like the Ability Mold Breaker.

If this Pokemon attacks and the target's ability would prevent the effects of the attack from taking place, or hinder the effects of the move, the ability is temporarily nullified while the attack is in progress. - Smogon.

It may be a glitch if the Fusion Bolt user was Victini. Only other guy other than Kyurem-B and Zekrom who learns it.
