I've never breed for a shiny Pokemon, nor gotten a shiny through accidental breeding. As of ORAS the base shiny rate is one in 4076ish. Masuda Method and Shiny Charm improve this, but the chance never gets good. A friend of mine got lucky whilst shiny hunting and got a Numel in "just" 5 boxes worth of eggs. Not much I can say, its really rare.

Sorry Ovik, but I don't really breed a lot of Pokemon. I have, to be honest, neither the time (or patience, but shh) to pull that off. Heck, I couldn't even breed for a Jolly Drilbur, and *that* took me more than a  month :\

Basically, I suck at breeding (Cough cough), so I haven't really bred for a shiny before. Sorry for that. Any and all shiny Pokemon I ever had were the ones I found in the wild.

I did try chaining for a Torchic once, in ORAS.
Sadly through a chain of 50-60 (idk), it reset on me ;-;
but i have never hatched one
