Due to a glitch, the Partner Cap Pikachu only (other Capachus are still shinylocked) can be shiny, and it's just a normal SR hunt. It's supposed to be shinylocked, but the lock just ensures that it's not your Trainer Shiny Value (TSV), rather than Ash's, which is what actually determines whether Cap Pikachu is shiny. So if you're really unlucky, and your TSV just so happens to exactly match Ash's (a 1/4096 chance), then it really is shinylocked, otherwise, you have a 1/4095 chance to get one per reset (yes, 1/4095, since it can't be your TSV, knocking out one of the possible non-shiny chances).

Cap Pikachu doesn't even have a shiny sprite that's any different from its regular one; the only way you can tell is because it has the red shiny star in its summary screen and will make the shiny sparkle when sent out. But I'm worried that GF might fix the shinylock in a patch sometime in the near future, which would make this a *very* rare and valuable shiny afterwards, and give me legendary bragging rights. So I want it. I'm currently somewhere in the 2700's for it. Wish me luck.

Only 3? I've seen 70% of the series. Although, last time I watched an episode was 3 years ago, so I am a bit rusty on my knowledge. I remember a few episodes completely (including the last one), but do not know them by name :/
