I have a minor suggestion that I think would improve the experience for mobile users. On mobile, when you type into the search bar it tries to autocorrect the words the user types (I use iOS so I'm not sure if this is the same on Android). Since most Pokemon names are not words in the dictionary, it will incorrectly try to fix what it sees as typos.
This behavior can be suppressed by adding the HTML attribute autocorrect="off" to the search input field. I tested this on iOS Safari and it worked as expected.
