If someone accidentally presses "convert to comment", can that be undone?

I am so sorry for the random question but like I am so paranoid.

I always edit answers and stuff and I have a habit of clicking the boxes about like "email me" for my stuff, and a few times I almost accidentally impulse pressed the "convert to comment" button, because it's where those would be. I'd feel soooooo bad if I did that to someone's good answer by accident. Would they lose the points if this happened? Can it be undone?

Also can that button be moved so I can stop having a stroke every time I edit please?

You can't undo it after you click the "save changes" button, unless you count telling the answer poster to post a new copy of the answer.
