How to add GIFs to questions?

I tried adding GIFs to my RMT using the conventional HTML coding, but it didn't work. I've seen plenty of RMTs with GIFs, so is there a specific code required to insert one?

HTML is mostly disabled because people overused it. Instead you can use Markdown's language.
