Mini-modding is basically doing or attempting to do what a moderator does while not having the authority of a mod.
Telling people the rules when they break them doesn't mean you're mini-modding; telling people that they should be warned, banned, stop arguing etc., however, is.
What constitutes as mini-modding can also differ from site to site & forum to forum. There's also backseat modding, which again differs in definition from site to site, but is generally used as a synonym to mini-modding.
In direct relation to the site; useless flagging and saying "this should be hidden" is minimodding. Answering suggestions in Meta without knowledge is minimodding.
