I desperately wanted my Stoutland to learn it...it ruined my strategy when I found out it couldn't.

Use the following Showdown command.

/nds voltswitch, !electric:

Cobalion
Forretress
Grubbin
Iron Crown
Iron Treads
Klang
Klink
Klinklang
Magearna
Mew
Nosepass
Probopass
Smeargle

You can type /ds volt switch,!electric type if you don't want to manually filter out the electric Pokemon.
