I'm currently trying to find a shiny charmander on my firered/leafgreen games, and I have three of them going at once on my ds's/gameboy; will this increase my chance of finding it or should I just stick with one and soft resetting that?

medusa method is the most common method you will find

No, you will still have the same 1 in 8192 chance of finding a Shiny Pokemon. Having multiple games played each working to find a Shiny will obviously speed up the task - though the chance of finding the Pokemon is no higher. Since Charmander is only available via starter Pokemon, Masuda method won't work. Just keep resetting the game is the best option, unless, of course, you cheat or hack.
