Is the egg in the back of Exeggcute dead?

Diamond/Pearl's Pokedex entry for Eggecute notes that, "Its six eggs converse using telepathy. They can quickly gather if they become separated." The eggs are all capable of telepathic communication, so they must be alive. Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire's Pokedex entry also notes, "When cracks increasingly appear on the eggs, Exeggcute is close to evolution," so the egg in the back may simply be an indicator that the Pokemon is ready to evolve.

From the Pokedex, "Their shells are very durable. Even if they crack, they can survive without spilling their contents."

So, the answer is no. It's not dead.

You see, an Exeggcute includes many eggs, but when it evolves, there are only three heads. So some eggs certainly dead and turned into nutrient for others.

Wait the other eggs are DEAD?  how when in the anime i see all of them alive and moving i dont understand how they can be dead
