What about the system was changed in Gen V?

J98 says that "the system was changed in Gen V" I do not understand, was it made that even your own Pokemon will not obey you if they are over leveled?

maybe because i beat the game and my pokrmon were way over lvl and my brother beat the elite 4 with a 65 lvl emboar

After the 8th gym badge all Pokemon obey you anyway, and even after the 7th badge a lvl 65 Emboar will obey.

J98 may have to answer exactly what he meant, but the only thing I can think is that the levels at which Pokemon obey from badges are slightly different in B/W.

Previously they were:
Badge 1 (Johto only) = lv 20
Badge 2 = lv 30
Badge 4 = lv 50
Badge 6 = lv 70
Badge 8 = all Pokemon.

In Black/White it is:
Badge 1 = lv 20
Badge 2 = lv 30
Badge 3 = lv 40
Badge 4 = lv 50
Badge 5 = lv 60
Badge 6 = lv 70
Badge 7 = lv 80
Badge 8 = all Pokemon.
