Beautifly (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Swarm EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Modest Nature - Quiver Dance - Bug Buzz - Psychic - Giga Drain / Hidden Power [Fighting]
Quiver Dance is required for Beautifly to do any meaningful damage. Bug Buzz is your strongest STAB option and Psychic covers Fighting and Poison types. Giga Drain gives Beautifly a recovery option while also hitting Rock types, but Hidden Power [Fighting] may be used so you're not walled by Steel types. A Modest Nature and Life Orb are used for maximum damage output.
Beautifly (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Swarm EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Modest Nature - Psychic - Hidden Power [Flying] - U-turn - Energy Ball
Psychic hits Poison types that Beautifly may otherwise struggle with. Hidden Power [Flying] is unfortunately the best Flying STAB this Pokemon gets, but it does an acceptable job of dealing with Fighting types. Bug STAB is fairly unnecessary and thus U-turn is used as a momentum tool over Bug Buzz on this set. Energy Ball is your only line of defense against Rock types. A Modest Nature and Life Orb are required on a non-Quiver Dance set.
Beautifly @ Focus Sash Ability: Swarm EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Modest Nature - Quiver Dance - Giga Drain - Bug Buzz - Stun Spore / Psychic / Shadow Ball / Air Cutter
This is really standard. Use Quiver Dance to set up while you tank a hit with Focus Sash. Then, use Giga Drain to heal up. Psychic and Shadow Ball are extra type coverage, and Stun Spore can be useful for Paralyzing before switching out if need be.
Beautifly @ Focus Sash Ability: Rivalry EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def Timid / Modest Nature - Bug Buzz - Air Cutter - Quiver Dance - Roost / Giga Drain
Bug Buzz is Beautifly's strongest STAB; Air Cutter is used over Hidden Power [Flying] for its increased critical hit chance. Quiver Dance is necessary for Beautifly to do meaningful damage, though it has to take advantage of choice-locked Pokemon to get a setup opportunity. Roost is reliable healing while Giga Drain is a less consistent option that hits Rock types.
