Your Dad (Giratina) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Roar
- Will-O-Wisp
- Dragon Pulse
- Protect

This is a phazer. Deadly bulkiness Will-O-Wisp is for those who won't take Toxic Spikes, Protect stalls, Dragon Pulse is for Taunters, Roar does the phazing stuff.

This is a brilliant set! Someone had better upvote it.
Nice set man!
Why not Hex instead of dragon pulse and why not impish instead of bold isn't it better?
Bold Nature lowers Attack, which this set doesn't use, while Impish Nature lowers Special Attack, which is used with Dragon Pulse. Bold Nature is better for this set
Note that Giratina can no longer use Roar in gen-8 (SwSh).
The answer was posted for Gen 5.

Giratina-Origin @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 120 Def / 120 SpD / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Force
- Outrage
- Shadow Sneak
- Will-O-Wisp / Dragon Tail

Giratina looks suspiciously like a Ghost/Steel type.
You cannot tell me it doesn't have like steel claws.

Shadow Force has an amazing base power of 216 including STAB and the Griseous Orb Boost.
Hearing some people prefer Shadow Claw/Ball over Shadow Force because afraid of a Normal type switching in, the only Normal types that might appear in the Uber tier are Arceus and Blissey. Blissey cannot handle a STAB Griseous Orb boosted Outrage, so that's not a problem.
Normal Arceus is more of a problem, but has immunity to all Ghost attacks anyway.
Outrage is also STAB and boosted further by Griseous Orb, 216 Base Power as well.
Shadow Sneak for some nice priority being STAB. It has 72 base power with STAB and Griseous Orb, which is good for a priority move.
Will-O-Wisp can cripple something, giving Giratina a nice chance to use one of its attacks. Dragon Tail racks up some entry hazard damage and stops opponents who wants to set up.

Giratina-Origin @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 128 SpD / 128 Def
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Force / Shadow Claw
- Outrage / Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Explanation: Shadow Force/Shadow Claw is for STAB, Shadow Force has higher power but takes two turns, though it can penetrate Protect/Detect (it's like Dig/Dive/Bounce) while Shadow Claw deals damage with increased critical hit ratio. I prefer the former, but it's up to you. Outrage/Dragon Claw is for STAB and again, Outrage has higher power but causes confusion while Dragon Claw is just... there. I prefer the former again but it's up to you. Earthquake provides coverage (against Poison, Rock, Steel, Fire and Electric types) with high power so it's good to have. Stone Edge also covers several types, namely Flying, Bug, Fire and Ice, the major weakness of Giratina) with an increased critical hit ratio.

Alternatively:
Giratina (Origin) @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk/ 128 SDef/ 128 Def
Modest Nature
- Dragon Pulse
- Shadow Ball
- Earth Power
- Aura Sphere

Explanation: Dragon Pulse and Shadow Ball are basically the Special STAB versions of the Physical Outrage/Dragon Claw and Shadow Force/Claw duo in this case. Earth Power is the Special version of Earthquake and again provides coverage against Poison, Rock, Steel, Fire and Electric types. Aura Sphere provides coverage and never misses and is notably strong against Normal, Rock, Steel, Dark and... Ice, Giratina's major weakness.

Extra: Hex + Thunder Wave/Will-O-Wisp may work quite well since Hex's power will double to 130. I haven't tried this before, so it's just a theory.

Staller Giratina:

Giratina @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Def / 200 SpD
Careful Nature
- Pain Split
- Protect
- Will-O-Wisp
- Dragon Tail

The plan is to Will-O-Wisp and Protect so the opposing Pokemon get hurt and Giratina heals. Then use Dragon Tail to damage and switch out the opponents Pokemon. Works well with entry hazards setters like Deoxys-D.

Giratina

Giratina @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Poltergeist
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Iron Head

Poltergeist is incredible STAB. Dragon Claw is also STAB. Iron Head covers Fairy and Ice. Earthquake is just powerful coverage.

Giratina

Giratina @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Impish / careful Nature
- Spite
- Protect
- Shadow Force
- Dragon Claw / Pain Split

Pressure drains their PP a lot. When you use Protect and they use an attacking move, their PP drops by 4. When you use Spite, their PP drops by 4-7. Shadow Force works as a makeshift Protect so they can waste PP and you can get the Leftovers recovery. Pain Split for healing or Dragon Claw for STAB.

PP wasting set? How well does PP wasting work?

Giratina @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 108 SpD
Calm Nature
- Aura Sphere
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Will-O-Wisp

CM set LeBoss said he had used before, I redid the EVs and worked Aura Sphere into it.

Giratina @ Leftovers / Griseous Orb / Liechi Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Substitute
- Pain Split
- Dragon Tail
- Shadow Sneak

Sub-Split gives this bulky monster a nice sub to let him phase and share his pain whenever he gets low. Dragon tail is STAB phasing and Shadow Sneak finishes off weaker prey. This set works best if you have another teammate set up hazards.

This is a weird set I came up for it and it works great!
Note: This moveset is used when you were previously set up on Spikes and Stealth Rock.

Giratina @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpD / 252 Def / 6 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Roar
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Outrage

Giratina is one of my favourite Pokemon, it can be a tank, or a sweeper. I'll add a tank set, as there aren't many on here:

Giratina @ Leftovers / Chesto Berry
Ability: Pressure / Telepathy
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 100 SpD / 56 SpA
Sassy Nature
- Toxic / Will-O-Wisp
- Hex
- Dragon Tail
- Rest / Pain Split

Giratina-Origin @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 242 SpA / 252 HP / 4 Def
Modest Nature
- Aura Sphere
- Earth Power
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor

Explanation: How about a Special Giratina set? Aura Sphere hits Arceus-Dark and Tyranitar. Earth Power hits Tapu Koko and Xurkitree as well as hitting Nihilego. Shadow Ball is STAB with that chance to lower the foe's Special Defense. Draco Meteor is STAB but at the risk of lowering Special Attack by 2 stages.

Giratina @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Aura Sphere
- Shadow Ball

Giratina is a very strong Pokemon, definitely stronger than Dialga and Palkia whom he is often associated with. Not many complaints on him. He is outdone by Lugia, however, who has a similar role. I do prefer Altered over Origin because Origin doesn't really have the capacity to be a sweeper, however he does show much promise.

My personal opinion:

Giratina-Origin @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 100 HP / 158 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Shadow Force
- Dragon Claw
- Ancient Power
- Destiny Bond

Shadow Force: The strategy you should use is if they run a Protect Pokemon or Detect, use this because most players do not know about it ignoring protection moves.
Dragon Claw: Raw power from STAB, Griseous Orb, and Origin Forme attack, Take them out!
Ancient Power: Normally I would say Ominous Wind, even if this is a low-powered move, but Ominous Wind does not affect Normal types, go for the 10% stat boosts!
Destiny Bond: Last ditch effort! Try to outspeed your opponent on low health!

This is my set for Giratina, It is not the best but also just go for good IV's but try to stay on the offensive and stay bulky, make sure when you are very low health, take your opponent down with you with Destiny Bond, hope this moveset helps anyone.

This is like a set you use to troll noobs. “Not that many people know Shadow Force ignore protecting moves?” Maybe some idiot will call you a hacker but who are you battling? Nobody respectable in competitive Pokémon will not know that. Adamant Nature + Ancient Power = Cringe please fix that.

Giratina-Origin @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 128 HP / 252 SpA / 128 Def
Modest Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Dragon Pulse
- Will-O-Wisp
- Calm Mind

Shadow Ball and Dragon Pulse are strong, reliable STAB moves. The combination of Will-O-Wisp, Levitate and good HP and Defense will keep most physical attackers at bay. Calm Mind will boost your Special Defense and Special Attack along with Griseous Orb's boost, giving it the potential to sweep.

Satanopede (Giratina) @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Shadow Claw / Shadow Force
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Straight forward.

SatanopedeV2 (Giratina) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Will-O-Wisp / Thunder Wave
- Hex
- Aura Sphere / Dragon Pulse

Fun, Pressure literally pressures your target, to either switch or die. Thunder Wave if you think Burn isn't evil enough, and if you want to be more accurate, sacrificing the Physical Sweeper crippling ability, but atleast you cripple both now.

Hello! This is my Giratina set:
Position: Fast, hard-hitter

Giratina @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 SpA
Hasty Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Aura Sphere
- Shadow Force
- Hex

Here's the plan: I put Will-O-Wisp for burn and half atk on those lean and mean physical monsters, Aura Sphere for a decent, reliable, never-missing chipper, Shadow Force to avoid harmful moves and then come back with a tanky hit the next turn (is also improved with the Griseous Orb), and Hex for some decent Ghost-Type STAB damage, also fortifies the effects of the Griseous Orb and Will-O-Wisp.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope this helped!

The limit for EVs is 252 per stat, and both your Atk and SpA EVs exceed that.
Sorry bud your EV’s are still illegal. The most you can have is 252/252/4

Edit: much better, thank you
