OK, so say a Simple bidoof uses Defense Curl to try and sharply boost his defense. But a non-simple opponent Snatches the Defense curl. Because is doesn't have Simple, is the snatcher's defense boosted by one or two?
Just by one because the snatcher is stealing the move's effect, not the ability and effect.
