What do I do after fighting the Grunts with Hugh in White 2? [closed]

So I'm on the plasma frigate with Hugh and Cheren, and after I fought grunts with cheren he told me to help Hugh. However, Hugh keeps telling me that he can handle them and to help Cheren. Is my game glitched or something?
