Does Stakeout boost the power of a move if the target has just replaced a fainted opponent?

Question

For example, if a Gumshoos fainted a Rattata in turn 1, and a Victreebel swaps in, does Stakeout's damage boost activate in turn 2?

Comments

Both Bulbapedia and Smogon say it activates only if the target switched "this turn", so I don't think it'll work if the target replaced a fainted Pokemon in the previous turn.

Stakeout doesn't activate when a Pokemon replaces a fainted Pokemon, correct?
Correct, only if a Pokémon is switched that turn (either manually or via a move).
