Why does my game freeze when I use the 'Seek' feature on the GTS in Festival Plaza?

So anytime I use the Seek feature, my game freezes and I can't press the home button. All I can do is restart my console. The Deposit feature still works, but is there anyway to fix Seek?

Hackers have flooded the GTS with "garbage character pictures" that your system cannot load. It doesn't know what to do, so it freezes instead. This can be fixed if you have a 3DS with CFW and don't mind following this program, but you unfortunately can't do anything about the freezing if you haven't hacked your 3DS.
