Why does Multi-Attack turn Normal when I Dynamax?

So, I was playing Sword, and I brought Silvally to a den. When I Dynamaxed, Multi-Attack turned to Normal-type.

If Silvally Dynamaxes, the move is displayed as Max Strike, but becomes the Max Move of whichever type of memory it is holding when used.

Though it appears to be a Normal type move, it won't be if you have a Memory attached.

ah, but in the screen, it said "effective" on the move, and not super effective

What was your opponent and what Memory did you have attached to Silvally?

Was the actual move Max Strike? Or was it Max Geyser? When I tested this, it showed Max Strike with normal effectiveness on the move display screen, but the actual move was Max Geyser.
