How does a lvl 50 cap affect evs?

Let’s say that I have a Pokémon that’s at level 51, and I notice it’s speed is a bit weak so I go do some ev training. If I enter a competitive battle with a level 50 cap, would those improved evs be adjusted but accounted for, or would it just be as if I had never gotten them in the first place?

Once the Pokémon is reset to level 50, all of the stats are recalculated every time. So, if a Pokémon was EV trained at Level 51, the Battle Tree would still adjust for those EVs when it was reset to Level 50.
In essence, those new EVs would be accounted for.
