The Poison type seems to be generally associated with uncleanliness and other things along those lines. Purification is the direct opposite of that, so why on earth is the move Purify Poison type?

Maybe it's not a dangerous poison, but it destroys dangerous unclean things? Or of course it could be explaining what it is getting rid of rather than what it is itself?

Okay well I'm updating this now. I actually looked into the roots of pure (root of purify) and one of the descriptions were unmixed perhaps the poison kills all but one substance, leaving it purely one substance
