In Pokemon sapphire, why did my treecko learn 2 moves in one level?

In Pokemon database, it said treecko will learn fury cutter when it evolves into grovyle at level 16, and learn pursuit at level 17, but why did when my treecko was level 16, it learnt pursuit then evolved into grovyle and learnt fury cutter?

The site says Treecko learns persuit at lv16, not lv17 in gen 3. Grovyle has the chance to learn persiut again at lv17. You may have read the page wrong. Hope I helped :)

Yep, Treecko must be a very lucky pokemon learning 2 moves in one level and in that level he will evolve. Very lucky pokemon.
