Does feeding your Pokemon a Sweet Heart increase friendship?

So in Ultra Sun, the cafe dude gives you sweets every day, like the Lumiose Galette, Casteliacone, Old Gateau, etc. Today I got the Sweet Heart and I was wondering if I fed it to my meowth, would it raise its friendship so I can evolve it into alolan Persian soon. Thanks.

No, the Sweet Heart only restores the Pokémon's HP it is used On by 20. If you want to raise friendship, you can use Food Stalls in Festival Plaza, go to Isle Avue for the first 99 points in Friendship. Otherwise, you can use friendship raising berries, leveling up, Wings, etc.
