Both of them are super strong or even overpowered wall breaker, and I wants to use a very successful wallbreaker, and this two are the only two i’ve want, and the format is Gen 8 national dex.
The moveset i’ve wanted to use on them:
Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Earth Power
- Psychic
- Power Gem
- Diamond Storm

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Flash Cannon

If the move sets are not good, please tell me what should I change!

It doesn't -- this is Natdex OU.
@Fizz but in smogen, it says it’s a strong wall breaker!
@Moon5780 this is Gen 8 National dex in Pokemon Showdown
Yes, Smogon says that *Nasty Plot* Hydreigon is a wallbreaker. *Choice Scarf* Hydreigon is not a wallbreaker.
Will, sorry for the mistake :p
Hydreigon is good. But I would use Diancie. I also have a pretty good set for it: https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/221040/what-is-a-good-moveset-for-diancie?show=312206#a312206

Hydreigon is better, for several reasons.

  • Hydreigon is in a higher NatDex tier, Diancie-Mega is allowed in National Dex UU, while Hydreigon is not.

  • Hydreigon doesn't take up a mega slot.

  • Diancie has three very common weaknesses in Ground, Steel, and especially Water offense with Rain teams.

  • Diancie is picked off easily by priority moves like Bullet Punch, Water Shuriken, and Grassy Glide.

I'd say the only moveset change to Hydreigon is to change Flash Cannon to Flamethrower to hit Ferrothorn (and various other Steel types). You already lose to Fairy types unless they are really really weakened, so you don't really need Fairy coverage.

Hope this helped!

Only 2 Pokémon can learn Water Shuriken, in some cases it won't take out Diancie. And Bullet punch isn't really that much of a threat depending on who it's coming from (unless the Pokémon has stat boosts ofc). Plus Grassy Glide only works in Grassy Terrain. Diancie can also handle it's weakness fairly well if you use it right. Diancie is a viable Pokémon imo.

Anyways just sharing my thoughts :P.
I mean Mega Scizor is fairly prominent
Rillaboom also might be common in NatDex due to its success in regular OU with Swords Dance/Choice Band Grassy Glides
and with the access to so many more water types in natdex rain probably is common along with ash greninja
mega diancie also struggles with just about every single special wall in the tier while Hydreigon can freely pivot out
and even then it takes so much effort to get diancie to work
just think there are better megas with the amount of weaknesses Diancie has
Interesting points ya got there. Eh, I still use Diancie, weaknesses and all. It just needs some extra, effort :P.
IDK should i choose it best, but i’ll wait for the other answers.
However, thanks for the suggestion!
