Does the egg of shiny Pokémon always lay a shiny Pokémon egg?

I caught a shiny ditto . The egg I hatched after breeding it with a shiny gyrados was shiny. Will the egg always be shiny ?
Or does a shiny parent increase the chance . Gen4

The only time a shiny parent is any kind of influence on the shininess of the egg is in gen 2. Even then, it's not a guarantee, only an improvement to between 1/128 and 1/64 chance depending on the species' gender ratio (and if both parents are shiny, they'll refuse to make any eggs so you have zero chance).
