Do Pokemon contests raise friendship?

I want to evolve my Budew into Roselia before lvl. 25 so it can learn Giga drain and since Im at Hearthome City, I was wondering if Pokemon contests raise the Pokemon's happiness. If it does , how many friendship points does it give. For example if you level up your Pokemon it gets +5 friendship points.

You can catch roselia outside hearthrome, so just catch one of those. Also no.
