Who is a good bulky Water-type for in-game in US/UM?

Question

Can someone list some good bulky water types? This is just for 6v6 battles against random trainers. I'm looking for an alternative for my Milotic. Also, please do not suggest legendary Pokemon. I do not want to use them. Please only suggest Pokemon that have at least one of the following:

• a recovery move or ability
• great defensive stats. Offense not that important but still welcome
• can completely screw over certain Pokemon

Since I constantly rotate my team around so I can enjoy my using my favorite Pokemon, I need an alternative general purpose bulky water, one that can easily be fit to all sorts of teams. If possible, kindly include ev spread for it that does not need to be changed even if I change the rest of my team

I know this is a very late comment, but according to https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/pokemon-ultra-sun-and-ultra-moon-in-game-tier-list-v2.3676552/ , your good options are Pelipper, Wishiwashi, Vaporeon, Blastoise, and Swampert.

Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Recover
- Haze
- Toxic Spikes

Toxapex is your main option for a bulky water. With 50/152/142 Bulk, Water/Poison typing, and Regenerator, Pex can be a great defensive Water-Type for you.

Other niche options:

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 96 Def / 164 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower

Slowbro is more of a pivot, but it can be a nice check for a few threats if you struggle with something like Medicham or Keldeo.

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Recover
- Earthquake
- Toxic

Water/Ground gives Gastrodon a small niche for walling a few specific targets and that's mostly it.

Overall, I'd say try Toxapex first. It could be really great for you. The others mentioned are more specialized so only use them if you really need what they provide.

Why leftovers instead of Slowbronite? Pelipper is also good.

Slowbronite is fine, but Leftovers lets is more easily gain health when coupled with Regenerator.

Pelipper is more used for being a rain setter from what I have seen and rarely outside of that.

I've never even heard about a pokemon called Toxapex. This is a gen 7 released pokemon right? Gonna have to look this up and find it. That regenerator with black sludge sounds promising. Thanks for the suggestions

Moves
1) Earthquake (coverage)
2)Ice beam (coverage)
3) Scald (STAB,Burn)
4)Body Slam (parlaysis)
Change Body Slam with Iron Defense or Rest or any move if ur choice

It’s better to have EVs in HP rather than both defence and special defence. You could try 252 HP and 128 in both defence and special defence, but 252 HP and 252 in defence or special defence is more common.

blastoise doesn't have any good recovery to be worth using over toxapex, gastrodon, milotic,  or even slowbro

if you use iron defense, you have no recovery at all and get chipped down without almost anything worthwhile out of the turn

if you use rest, you have to wait several turns before you can do anything, which lets pokemon punish you easily, which is not what you want in a staller

this set is also leaning very closely to offense rather than defense. there is no need for coverage moves like earthquake and maybe ice beam

there is almost no reason to use blastoise as a bulky water except as a spinner, which it doesn't have on this set
