Does Sw/Sh have multiple save files per game?

I heard that Sword and Shield, unlike previous Pokemon games, allow players to have up to four save files per game. I'm feeling skeptical about this though, as the source for this information isn't 100% reliable. More like 80% reliable. I was hoping one of the people who actually have the game could verify this for me.

No, but you can make a separate switch account to play through the game again. Though you can't access the online features if you don't have Nintendo Switch Online on that account (or any account)
