If I trade a Pikachu from yellow, will it still be unable to evolve? I don’t want it to evolve but I don’t want it to be stuck forever holding a everstone.

If it will evolve if I level it to 100 so it can’t gain any more experience while holding and ever stone and then take the everstone away, will it not evolve?

Pikachu doesn’t evolve by level up; it can only evolve when you use a Thunder Stone on it. In Yellow, you can’t evolve it even if you try using a Thunder Stone on it, but if you trade it out, you can. But you don’t need to use an Everstone since it doesn’t evolve by level up anyway. If you don’t want it to evolve, just don’t use a Thunder Stone on it.
