What Kanto starter to pick in Pokemon HG?

I'm not sure what starter to pick... Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle?
By the way this is the team I plan:
1. Typhlosion
2. Noctowl
3. Heracross
4. Golduck/Gyarados
5. Umbreon
6. ???

Since you already have a fire and water type, I'd go with Bulbasaur to round out your type matchup selection. Also, between Golduck and Gyarados, I'd go with Gyarados because it has good stats and powerful moves.
