Any format. Please suggest why it would be better than primal Groudon in that case, as P-Groudon is much much easier to obtain.

Please include at least one useful damage calculation. Also consider that it’s primarily ran with quiet nature but if it makes so much of a difference I can run it with another more viable nature.

Eruption Heatran is terrible unless you use it in Trick Room
Right. We know that. I’m asking how it can be good.

It wont.
Eruption Heatran never really becomes better than Groudon in any significant scenario, you'd be talking about incredibly specific and niche scenarios specifically ones in where a Heatran can outspeed and KO something that Groudon couldn't or would put Groudon at a disadvantageous to do so.
Eruption Heatran was a tiny bit viable in DOU back in generations 5 and 6.

Eruption is an unreliable move on a slow Pokemon. Trick room is already niche, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Heatran being used with it. It’s risky and I don’t reccommend it.
Offensive Heatran works even without trick room, and for that there are tons of better moves you can use instead of eruption.
