How would this breeding affect the offspring?

I want to breed a Lunatone in a Dusk ball with a foreign Lunatone to Masuda Method a shiny Lunatone in a Dusk ball. Would this work? Or do both parents need to have the same Pokeball for this to work? Does the fact that it is genderless have anything to do with it? Just curious :D

Well, iḿ stupid. Genderless Pokemon cannot breed together unless it is with a Ditto.
