Are traded Pokemon allowed in competitive?

I just wanted to know because I want a Xerneas and a Kyogre on my team but I have ultra moon.

As far as I know, rules only say that the Pokemon used in your team MUST be caught in Alola. So I guess as long as those Xerneas and Kyogre are caught in USUM it should be fine

This only applies for some Online Competitions, not Battle Spot.

Nintendo keeps a log of statistics for the most-used Pokemon in Battle Spot and VGC. Consider this: VGC includes stats for Pokemon like Scizor, Steelix, and Accelgor...if traded Pokemon weren't allowed, how would it be possible to use those species at all in the format?
