I am asking because I might get it, but I want to make sure that it is possible to soft reset, or wing it for a shiny mew, instead of wasting my time.

> This should be no surprise as Nintendo says the following: Mew can only be transferred ONE TIME, into one copy of Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee!. If you have deleted a game with Mew, you will not be able to get Mew a second time on a new game from the same Poké Ball Plus.

This doesn’t answer the question... Also can you link to the actual source instead of that website’s home page?
U provided little explanation, and just cited something. Cranapper is right
I believe you can only get a Mew from the Pokéball Plus accessory; so, does this bundle come with one? Because if it does, you 100% get a Mew. :P
But ForretressExplosion wants to know if Mew will still be there if you soft-reset.
As far as my understanding goes, he wants to know if it has Mew so that he can soft reset, not if soft resetting would delete Mew (that would almost never be the case, because soft resting does the same thing as turning your system off and playing it later, just a little bit faster). :P

I don't think you can soft reset for a shiny Mew. It seems to be a one and done deal.

When you go to retrieve Mew from your pokeball It tells you that any interruption in data or pokeball plus connection will cause you to lose Mew. Then it saves your game, connects to the internet and deposits Mew directly into your box.

Here is a link to a video of the process if you want to see exactly how it happens and decide if it's something you want to do.

I've seen videos on line of people getting shiny Mew in a variety of ways, but am not sure if this is legit.
I do know that if you have a Pokéball plus, you can only get 1 Mew, this is because once you upload the data from the ball to the Switch, it is no longer in the ball, then if you soft reset to a pint before you uploaded Mew, it is lost from the game, because the data has been removed from the ball you can not upload another.
So it looks like you have to find a ball that has a shiny in, which could be expensive.

it's shiny locked and it doesn't show anything for shinies although it glows yellow on Pokemon you haven't encountered before
