How did the deoxys mega-evolve in Hackmons?

The deoxys mega-evolved and I tried putting a kangaskhanite on my own Pokemon, but it didn't work. Why?

There's only one way for that to happen, and that is Illusion. Most Kangaskhan run Illusion pre-mega, and that Deoxys was a Kangaskhan under an Illusion.
