Why can’t I view my Pokédex in Emerald?

Question

Basically I go to the menu and I look and all I see is my Pokémon, Bag, PokeNav, my trainer's name, SAVE and OPTION. I even got my National Dex. But I still can't view it. I saw it when the scientist when I got Match Call for my PokéNav and I tried to use it but they didn't let me. And after I got Match Call I checked and it was gone! PLZ HELP

Where are you when you try to open the menu? It might not work if you're in Trainer Hill or a Battle Frontier facility or something like that.

Your game is glitched. There is no other answer for this. Try to reset your game completely and see if that works.
