Why wouldn't there be one? As long as GameFreak makes the games, the anime will run. It is a tool to introduce Pokemon to younger audiences, as well as showcase the newer Pokemon. It's a basically a really dedicated, long-running advertisement that need not stop at anything short of economic Armageddon.
