In XY and SM, you get an advantage against your rival (Shauna and Hau respectively). Like SM, you should get an advantage against Hau in USUM.

Yes, Hau takes the starter that is weak to yours. (The first half of Ultra Sun/Moon is very similar to Sun/Moon, after that it becomes quite different.)
