How does Trace work during SOS battles?

Question

Say, I have a Porygon out in the field with Trace and I'm battling Carbink. Obviously it will trace Carbink's Clear body, but, if the Carbink summons Sableye, will Trace activate on Sableye? Or will the trace not activate at all because Porygon's already gained Clear body?

While a Pokémon with Trace is in battle, if at any time an adjacent opponent has an Ability that can be copied by Trace, Trace will activate and replace itself with that Ability.

So the Porygon will have clear body, not trace, when the Sableye appears. Obviously, trace can't activate when it's absent.

Trace will only trace the ability of the first Pokemon that appears, unless you switch out and then you switch in again, you will keep the clear body ability until the battle ends. If you switch into another Pokemon with trace while its on 2 vs 1, then it will randomly trace one of the Pokemon's ability. This is the same way in double and triple battles, the tracer trace randomly.
