I recently caught an absol in emerald, but I'm not sure whether or not to add it to my team?

Should I add absol to this team below? if so, who should I take out?

Using a recently caught Pokemon is usually a bad idea because it takes a lot of experience for the new Pokemon to catch up to its teammates. I think you should not use Absol, Trapinch, or Shroomish. If you want to use HMs, then catch a Tropius, teach a bunch of HMs to it, and don't give it any experience.

Absol's best STAB is bite, and all the physical attacks it can learn by level up are normal type. All six of your current team members are better than Absol. Don't use Absol.
