Where is Faraway Island in pokemon emerald?

I was on a pokemon website and was looking at the legendaries you could get in pokemon emerald and saw that mew was on faraway island. I wanted mew but couldn't find the island so I came here. Please help me!

You need to obtain an item "Old Sea Map" then go to the port in Lilycove City to go to Faraway Island.

Unfortunately that item was only given away at one event in Japan so you can't get it normally. You can get it through Gameshark or something though, or trade if you know someone else with Mew.

Actually, the only way would be Gameshark. You can't trade it.
I bought a used Sapphire Which had a Mew, and tried to steal it to my Emerald before I started a new game, but the ge wouldn't allow it. I forgot what the message said, but the game prevents you from doing so.
