Can I get a z crystal for a different starter?

So I was wonder trading and then I got a popplio so then I put it on my team in Pokémon MOON, so my original starter was rowlet and I'm guessing that sometime in the game I can get the z crystal for decidueye, but is it possible to get the z crystal for primarina even though that I never chose it as a starter?

Yes you can get the Z crystals for the other starters. Once you beat the game Hau will give you the Z crystals for the other starters.
