In Emerald, under what conditions does the start of the game skip the opening animation?

Sometimes it skips from the copyrights to the title screen. Does it have something to do with pressing the A button at the right time? Please don't question my curiosity.

During the opening animation for Pokemon Emerald, there's a moment of black screen (This is in all games with an opening animation.) If you click the A button at that exact moment of the animation where it's all back, it will skip all of the animation and go straight to the title screen.
