It says "A sweet honey with a lush aroma that attracts wild Pokémon when it is used in tall grass, in caves, or on special trees" in the description.
It's just a description, no more no less. The description for honey has been reused since it was first introduced in Gen IV, where honey trees were a thing, and they never bothered to update it when they removed honey trees.
There are no honey trees in OR/AS. Honey in those games are used to trigger horde battles in the wild.
